Lane was born and bred in Atlanta, and has tried living in a few exotic places, including Florence, Italy, Mwotto, Uganda, Boston, Massachusetts and Bloomington, Indiana. Lane luckily graduated from Indiana University in 2006 with a degree in Theatre and Journalism. She completed a year of MFA training at The New School for Drama. She has studied playwriting under some of the nation's finest playwrights including Dennis Reardon, Pippin Parker, Laura Maria Censabella, Michael Weller and Christopher Shinn. Productions include, "Bestfriends" (The Bloomington Playwrights Project) and "Playing God" (The Bloomington Playwrights Project), and "The Mercy Swing" (The New York International Fringe Festival). Lane lives pretty close to Gramercy Park with her Puggle puppy, Sophia. When she's not writing plays Lane works in advertising at USA Today. Lane is a member of The Dramatist Guild of America, Inc.
